Christmas with the Ryan's 2011...

We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!!!  We sure did!!  It was so nice being able to spend it with both Corey's and my family!  So I always have so much fun doing a movie trailer on my mac that I had to do one for Christmas.  So here it is enjoy!!!

Scentsy!!!!

Well I have recently discovered Scentsy Product and I am in Love!!!  I am now a consultant for them!  It not only makes your house smell wonderful but it is extremely safe!  It is wax but does not have a wick or flame.  It melts by using a 15, 20 or 25 watt KE Bulb, depending on your size of warmer.  It is just like a night light or lamp.  You can leave it plugged in 24/7 and not have to worry about it you blew your candle out!  The wax never gets hot it stays warm so if you are worried about your kids or dogs you don't have to!  They make great presents for anyone too.   If you have any questions feel free to contact me go check out my website and browse the products!!  https://michelleryan8.scentsy.us/Home

This is the Gingerbread Man Holiday Full size Warmer...

These two above are both Mid-size Warmers...The cupcake one is my favorite it is something fun!  The bottom one is the Enchanted warmer.  There are plenty of designs and colors to choose from.

Here are a few of the plug in warmers.  The top is The Groovy Black, the middle is The Lei & the bottom is the Wrangler.  As you can see they come in all different shapes and designs.  There is one for everyone!!!

 Here is what the Bars look like.  They are only $5.00 each it should last you a total of 8 weeks!!  It equals a 12oz candle!

This is the Brick!!  This looks the same it is just a lot more wax!  They cost $20 each and I would only recommend this if you really like one scent or if you know the scent you like is getting discontinued which it does happen :( 

Knickerbocker Park Grand Opening...

Yesterday was the opening of Knickerbocker Park (which is right across the street from our house).  They did a really good job on giving everyone something to do at this park.   A youth baseball field, multi-use field, splash pad, play areas for age appropriate play areas, a dog park, jogging path with exercise stations, picnic areas and a national terrain path.  And there is still designated areas for future amenities!!!   They started off with some great speaches of how they did the park then they introduced our Community Mascot Petey The Dog!!  We then went over to the baseball field to have the opening pitch to Petey and then off to enjoy some live music with food and play time!  We really enjoyed the day and it ended with a great Firework display!!!  Our Park is perfect with the best view of Las Vegas and the Mountains!!!  We are truly blessed to live in such a great community!  We are so happy with our choice.

Extra Extra Read all about it...

I am such a proud Momma!!  This year I was so worried about a new school with Teachers & kids but I must say this was the best move yet!  Colin has over come so much and I am so proud!  He has met almost all his goals and is doing above grade level in some areas!  He works very hard to do well in school and is enjoying it.  One of his favorite things in school is to Read!  Who would of thought I hate reading but he really enjoys it and loves to learn about everything to do with writing and reading.  He can tell you where to find the Author and much more!  Among other of his favorite things is P.E. he loves his teacher and playing all the games they do.  Here is a quote his teacher put in his Comments: "Colin is a sweet boy and a pleasure to have in class. He is always happy and gets along well with his classmates.  Colin shows a concrete grasp of the first grade skills I have introduced thus far."

Backyard Done...

As you all know Corey and I did our backyard about a month ago and I just now got around to taking pictures!!!  The boys are enjoying their yard and especially the grass!!!  It is exciting to see everyone being outside!!

Family Photo's...

On Sunday we had our Family Pictures taken and we had such a great time!  The boys are such cheeseballs and love taking pictures!  They are just like their Mother!  So here is a sneak preview of some of the photos. 

Pumpkin Patch...

I know I am a little behind on posting pictures!!!  Its that time of the year that I am doing projects for the Holidays and the New House!!!

October Festivals...

It was a pretty compact month for us Ryan's!!!  Every weekend was packed with fun stuff.  We got to have my dad come visit us for a few days, my best friends b-day party (which was a crazy fun night), pumpkin patch, costume shopping, and our normal fun stuff we do for Halloween.  In the middle of all of this we did our backyard ourselves!  It was a lot of work but worth it and couldn't of done it without the help of our neighbor Dave!!!  He saved us!!!

Walk for the Cure...

This past weekend was the Breast Cancer Walk for the Cure!!  This was my 2nd year doing this and I enjoy seeing so many people supporting this!  I have had someone pass from this and a few of my friends and family survive it.  It is a 3k walk & 5k run.  Maybe one year I will be able to Run haha.

Colin's Award...

We are very proud parents!!!  He is very respectful and Kind to others!

Weekend Project...

So Corey and I are enjoying ourselves in our new home!!!  We have so much more space that we have areas that we needed items for!!!  Corey's Mother was able to hand us over a couple of items that she thought we could give a make over to!!!  So we did just that!!!  We wasted no time and i had the perfect idea!!!  $20 later two items now have a new facelift!!!  We spray painted the items black and on the wine rack I bought some back splash cut it down, grouted it and before we could say fabulous it was done!!!  I must say HGTV has gave me a few good ideas !!!  What do you guys think?

Colin's 1st week of 1st Grade...

Well as most of you know Colin started school on Monday!!!  It was not only out of kindergarten it was to a whole new school with lots and lots of kids!!!  It is a super nice school, very nice people, just a little scary for my pumpkin-head!!!  He is doing great dont get me wrong but I think this new school is a little scary for him (all though he wont admit it me).  At his old school it was k-2 then you would walk across the parking lot to another building and play area and it was 3-5 at this new school it is K-5 and 800 students and probably my guess 100 are kindergarten so 700 kids on a playground all at once is a little scary for my little man and not to mention new school with no known faces :(  but I think he is doing ok I just know my little man.  On another note his class is only 15 kids which is fabulous a lot more 1 on 1 time (as last year it was 30 kids in his class).  So Mommy and Daddy are super excited about that.  So needless to say the 1st week of school went great and I think we will all be ok!

DONE!!!!!!

Today was our final walk through and its official our house is DONE!!!!  I went to the walk through with my father in law (Corey wasn't feeling up to going still too early).  It took us 2 hours but well worth it...Pat went through every little detail in the house showed me how to work everything and things I will need to know when we go on vacation and when winter approaches!  I must say it looks FABULOUS!!!  I can not wait to move in next week!  Now we are just waiting on signing our loan documents and we will be Homeowners!  I did not take too many pictures today, I will take some more before we move in and have all our appliances in. 

Almost Done!!!!

So on Thursday the 28th Corey and I took a drive to the house to do a last look at the house until our Final Walk Through on the 5th!!!  It is so amazing on how quickly they get stuff done.  All the outside decorations are up, side gate to the backyard up, they leveled out our dirt in our backyard, Carpet in, all toilets, sinks and fixtures up.  The only thing they had left to do was paint our garage door, put our kitchen counter tops in, kitchen sink, our appliances, our temp. gage in upstairs and downstairs and of course touch ups.  Also our front yard landscaping.  My father in law went out to the house yesterday and said all this has been done except: Garage door painted, front yard landscaped, and kitchen sink.  Crazy to think in 1 day how much they do.  So here is the last of the production pictures next time you will see the house it will be completed!!!

Summer Fun

While all this craziness is going on we have managed to still squeeze in some fun.  We have gone swimming a couple of times and took the boys to The Bass Pro Shop to dream about what kind of boat we wanna get once we have no kids!!!  The boys had fun.

House Progress Part 2...

Like I promised here are some more recent pictures of the house.  We have been up there a lot lately but now its crunch time.  We just have a few final things to get and we will be ready to go.

House Progress Part 1...

So we are 2 weeks away from our Final Walk through and about 2 1/2-3 weeks till we get KEYS!!!  We are super excited and cant wait to spend time in our own house and where we can have the boys bring their families to visit because we are not moving again!!!  Below is some progress of our house I will post some more soon.  Its pretty amazing how quickly they move along with getting stuff done!  Our whole block is almost done its pretty cool to watch!  The boys are ready for their new rooms and house!

Colin's 7th Birthday part 2...

This year Colin's party was at Chuck E Cheese!!!  This is my first party that I did not do 1 single thing!!!  It was very weird for me but we just had way too much going on.  Colin wanted a Spiderman Cake so that is what we got and the Chuck E Cheese Crew did the rest for us!  It turned out really good and all the kids had a blast.  Thank you all that came and made Colin's Day so special...we Love you all

Colin's 7th Birthday part 1...

I wanted to thank everyone for making Colin's 7th Birthday a very special one!!  Our Cousin Nick came to have a good time with us (which he was a surprise to the kiddos, which turned more into a few confused kids to why he was here lol).  So on his actual birthday Corey, Nick and I took the boys bowling as Corey was our camera man and sat it out due to his neck and arm injury...Nick and I had a blast trying to see who was the best Cousin Bowling!!!  I won round 1 and he won round 2...there was no tie breaker so that is still up in the air on who is the Best (hint hint...its ME).  So here is a few pictures of our great day out.

Summer Vacation 2011...

Well we wasted no time for our Summer Vacation this year!!!  We headed up to Quincy 2 days after Colin got out of school!!!  This is extremely early for us but since we are building our house we had to change things up a little this year!  We also had to cut it a week short which meant trying to cram everything into a shorter period of time, we almost succeed.  So lets run down some highlights!!


1.  We met my Auntie Jean and Nick at Six Flags/Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo, CA for a very Fun Filled long day!!!  From 11am-8:30pm we were there making sure we didn't miss a thing.  We really enjoyed ourselves and had a great time. 

2.  We spent Fathers Day with my Mom's Family, it was really nice to see all my Aunts and most of my Cousin's all together!  This doesn't happen as much anymore!  We had a nice BBQ for Grandpa.

3.  I finally got to meet my Twin Cousin's!!!  We went to Melissa's and Craig's for dinner and got to play with the kids.  Its funny to see such cuteness in one household but also to see the 2 different personalities.  Brayden is not shy loves to play as for Cassidy she is more shy and has to warm up to strangers!!!  It was  a nice visit.

4.  We also had fun at Grandma & Grandpa's house just playing in Grass and sprinklers!!!  I have a really funny video of Andrew playing in the sprinkler I just have to edit it.  We also took the boys to the Railroad Museum.  We had a blast they even found a real railroad spike!!!
